G.L.A.M. Summer Fashion Event

Last night, we participated in G.L.A.M.'s Summer Fashion Event in downtown DC, and we had such a blast!

G.L.A.M. stands for giving labels a meaning, and it is an organization that strives to use fashion as a way to help others. G.L.A.M. was started by fashion bloggers extraordinaire Meaghan from District Sparkle and Eden from Garden of Glam. These two ladies are so wonderful, and we are so glad that they reached out to us to be a part of this amazing event.

The Summer Fashion Event this year benefitted Safe Shores DC, which is a child advocacy organization that works to prevent child abuse. Local boutiques set up pop up shops in the venue, and guests were welcome to enjoy drinks & shopping.

Boat Shoes galore

LK Benett heels and Milly tote

The Ropes and Joie flats

bb girls Bryarly and Jill

Fashion presentation. Adorable.

Hellloooo gorgeous

We hope everyone had as much fun as we did last night. What's not to love about shopping, drinks and most importantly, giving back!

Giving Labels A Meaning

We are so thrilled to be participating in G.L.A.M.'s Summer Fashion Event next Thursday night!

G.L.A.M. was started by local fashion blogger, Meaghan, from District Sparkle. Last year they raised money for CASA DC, a national child advocacy group that works with children in the foster care system. This year all proceeds from ticket sales will go to Safe Shores, DC, which helps to fight child abuse.

Come out and shop for a cause with us and other local businesses!

Bloggers by Bishop: The Fashionably Broke

We were lucky enough to work with Natalie and Erika from The Fashionably Broke on our latest lookbook. These stylish sisters have an adorable (and budget conscious) blog, and we're totally digging it.

Natalie rocked our fave blue Studio Pollini heels from the store with a pair of shorts and a blazer and she looked so amazing!

We can't wait to share the photos from our lookbook with everyone! Look for it at the end of the month!

Behind the Scenes: Patriautical Lookbook Shoot

Yes. That's right. Another lookbook from bb coming to you later this month!

We had such a blast working on our spring lookbook, and we are so glad to have the opportunity to put out another one so soon after we released our first lookbook

Susannah from Alumbra Photography was our fab photographer. She is another Old Towner, and we are so lucky to work with her. She is so talented, and an absolute joy to shoot with.

Our fab hair and makeup chick was Abigail De Casanova. We met her through Susannah, and she did such an amazing job on our models.

Speaking of models, we were so fortunate to work with Erika and Natalie from The Fashionably Broke this time around. They have such great style, and we were so excited to feature more local bloggers. We are avid followers of so many DC Metro bloggers, and they're all so great to work with!

The theme of this lookbook is "Patriautical", which is a word that we coined to encompass our fave summer styles: patriotic and nautical.

Our shoot last weekend was yet again threatened by rain, but we managed to get everything finished just before the skies opened on us. Everyone (including our amaze interns) powered through and we can't wait to share the final lookbook with you! To tide you over until then, here are some behind the scenes shots.

Bloggers by Bishop: What I Wore

Jessica from What I Wore rocks her cobalt Milly Jayden satchel all the time, and we love how she styles it. In her most recent post, she pairs it with our fave color of the season, mint, and it looks fab.

Jessica has such a great eye for putting colors together, and these to blue-ish hues look amazing.
Brava!

There are so many ways to pair these colors together. Check out our favorite combos from the store:
