LA Shoes

Memorial day weekend our new Assistant Manager, Bryarly, took a trip to the west coast for her summer vacay. She was in LA for five days, and obviously she brought her favorite bb goodies with her!

The instant she landed, she headed straight for the beach in her Elaine Turner cork flats. She wore them all through the airport right up to the Santa Monica sand. 

The next day she enjoyed being a tourist on Hollywood Boulevard, and she even ran in to one of our fellow shoe lovers and fashion idols...

Bryarly had a fabulous time in LA, and she was the envy of everyone with all her bb goodies!

Bloggers by Bishop: District Dress Up

Our girl Abbey from District Dress Up was one of the fab models in our Spring 2013 lookbook, and she fell in love with this hot pink Milly bag during the shoot. She rocks it so well, it's almost as if they were meant to be!

Here she is with her Milly, looking so gorg! We love how she styled this look, and we can't wait to see how else she wears her new hot pink tote! (Neon is a neutral, after all!)

4. Milly fringe bag

We are loving fringe this season, and you will be too once you see this Milly clutch. Not only is it the perfect size, but green is the color to have this year, and emerald is May babies' birthstone. Too perfect!

5. Elaine Turner sandal

Ankle straps are everywhere this season, and we love these gold flats. They are a new take on Grecian goddess, and we think that miss Gemini is just that!

Boutiques Give Back!

Happy Friday, everyone! The weather is finally starting to warm up and it's beginning to feel like summer here in Old Town.

This Saturday, May 18th, is a big day for the Old Town Boutique District. It marks the 3rd annual Boutiques Give Back Day, which is a day when participating boutiques give a portion of their profits to local charities. It is a very exciting day for Old Town and for all the local charities that benefit!

This year, we are donating to the Campagna Center, a wonderful local charity that does so much good for the community! Their mission is to inspire a commitment to learning and achievement among children, teens and adults that has the power to change their lives and our community. They facilitate seven different programs, including ESL classes, After School Programs and Head Start programs. It is such an amazing organization, and are so glad to be able to give back! Not only will we be donating 20% of every purchase to the Campagna Center, but Kelly and Chris will also make a personal donation matching the donation we raise from sales. The work that the Campagna Center does is so important and widespread that we can't help but do everything to support the cause!

Bloggers by Bishop: Ring My Bell

Actress Ashley Madekwe from the show Revenge has the cutest blog called Ring My Bell. We are huge fans of Revenge, and we think Ashley always looks fabulous on and off screen!

A few weeks ago Ashley posted an adorable look with a floral dress and Chanel flats. The title of the post was "Groundbreaking" which is a reference to one of our favorite quotes from The Devil Wears Prada, "Florals for spring? Groundbreaking" (watch the clip here). Not only did she quote our favorite devil in Prada, but she also linked to these London Sole flats that we have in the store!

These London Sole flats are the best basic black flat, and we have them in other fun colors like red, red patent, tan, and even sparkles! They are so perfect for work, and you will want to wear them all the time! 

Oh, and did we mention that Kate Middleton has a pair? Yes, that's right. Another princess shoe opportunity! Here she is wearing her London Soles to the grocery.

It's almost Mother's Day, and we think (like most women) that jewelry is the perfect Mother's Day gift! Last week, we were lucky enough to work with a group of amazing ladies to shoot our lookbook and video, which we are SO excited to share with you all so soon!

Abbey from District Dress Up was one of our fab models, and at the shoot she fell in love with this hot-pink Milly bag. She was dreaming and dreaming about it, and this weekend she made it her own! We think it looks perfect on her, and we hope her love affair with this amazing bag lasts forever! (We're confident it will!)
